Nighttime is a shadowy figure who knows far more about the Black Doors than he lets on. He operates on the fringes of Silver City, moving between the living and the damned, speaking in riddles and appearing only when necessary. Some say he’s a fallen priest, others claim he’s a man who escaped the Black Doors long ago but was forever changed.

What is certain is that he is not fully human. Nighttime walks the fine line between the material world and the abyss, understanding the horrors that lie beyond but never fully belonging to either side.

He is one of the few forces actively opposing Sabrina—though he never directly confronts her. Instead, he works behind the scenes, nudging people in the right direction, giving cryptic warnings, and providing key knowledge that could save or damn those who listen.

Nighttime serves as a mentor and guide for Mike Walker, though whether he is truly an ally remains uncertain. He never outright tells Mike what to do—only what he needs to hear. His warnings often come too late, and his knowledge comes at a cost.

When Frank O’Mally becomes too entangled with Sabrina, it is Nighttime who saves him from being consumed—but not without showing him the true horrors of what he’s dealing with.

When Mike learns the truth about his lineage, it is Nighttime who tells him:
"Doors are everywhere. Some open for you, some open because of you."

It is implied that Nighttime may have once been in Mike’s position—a man caught between two worlds, forced to choose between light and darkness.
